This Week on Musicians Radio
Busy busy...
Long time no talk to.  Why? Content, that's why.  In order to do a radio show you need content and that's what I've been doing. Getting content.

There is some exciting stuff coming up in the next few shows. Recently I interviewed Teo Macero.  He produced some of the most popular jazz records of all time including Miles Davis" Kind of Blue and records by Thelonius Monk. Also in the weeks ahead I'll talk with Bob Babbitt of Motown's "Funk Brothers," and producer / engineer Matt Thorne, guitarist Phil Brown and more...

Also in two weeks we welcome a new contributor - songwriter Felice Keller to the Musicians Radio fold.  Felice divides her time between L.A. and Nashville and has just done her first interview For MR with Matt Scannell of Vertical Horizon.

And this week on Musicians Radio

I go Behind the Scenes with film and TV composer David Schwartz.  Known for his "quirky" style, We'll find out there's a lot more to his style than just the theme's from "Northern Exposure",  "Arrested Development" and "Deadwood".  We'll discuss his journey from the New York School of visual arts and Berklee, to the sound stages of L.A.  Also -- Congratulations to David's daughter Lucy  for winning the International Songwriter contest.  www.myspace.com/lucysong

Then we'll do a segment we call "Favorite Tracks"  and this one is with one of our favorite guests Jill Sobule.  Anytime Jill is near a microphone anything can happen.  Check out Jill's pick for some of her current favorite tracks.  Some we could play on the air and some we couldn't.

Now getting down to business...
We recently got a Roland Fantom keyboard workstation here at MR and I have to say it's so very cool.  Even though all the sounds are customizable,  we haven't even bothered with any of that because it offers so much straight out of the box.  It's sound is refreshing compared to a lot of the same keyboards that too many guys show up with in the studio. Check one out when you can.

Speaking of Roland... this may be your last chance to enter the Dave Navarro Pedal Board Contest.  You can do this by clicking on this link right over here.... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Enter to win one of Dave's pedal boards and if you are not a guitar player or do not wish to own the pedal board... enter anyway and if you win give the pedal board to me. Do it.

And for your reading enjoyment:  American Songwriter Magazine.
