This Week on Musicians Radio
In my opinion (and hey- it is my newsletter after all), Michelle Shocked has always fought the good fight.

Starting out as an activist-folk singer, it always seemed as though she was in it for the right reasons. Early on she gave us heartfelt narratives like "Anchorage" and tales of injustice like "Graffiti Limbo" and then later,  she threw herself completely into western swing, traditional folk, and the blues.

So what happens when Michelle is suddenly confronted by anger and vitriol when giving her perspective in a post 9-11 world?  Does she grow bitter? Resentful? Perhaps forgiving?

Find out this Sunday on XM channel 133 at 5pm pacific 8 pm eastern when we get the gospel according to Michelle Shocked.

And of course if you don't have XM you will be able to download it on Sunday at www.musiciansradio.com.

You can subscribe to podcasts in iTunes by clicking here:  feed://www.musiciansradio.com/index.php/rss

Right now at the website you can find our complete archive, including our most recent show featuring John Densmore. If you have not heard it check it out. It's a pretty cool interview if I do say so myself, and as I mentioned earlier... this is my newsletter.

In two weeks....
A couple of days ago I went up to SoHo in Santa Barbara to see Jake Shimabukuro perform. A virtuoso on the ukelele, Jake shook up the sold out room with selections from Shubert, Chick Corea, and Led Zeppelin.

Of course Jake was gracious enough to let us interview him before the show. This show will air Nov. 25, check it out and find out why he's had more than a million views on Youtube. Also you will learn the proper pronunciation of "ukelele".

And last, we need your help. Use the forwarding link to pass this newsletter on to any music fan you know. If we build it-they will come.

Thanks and have a great week,

Peace,

Kevin
