After all the media covering the Grammy Broadcast, one commentary I happened to hear really struck me. It was one of those "I wished I'd said that" moments.
Since I couldn't say it, I decided to see if I could play it. So I phoned her up and asked. One thing quickly led to another and the nice folks at KCRW gave me permission to replay the commentary. Check out Celia's "On The Beat" commentary about "Music's Biggest Night".
Here's a curious fact: did you know that the engineers of most of the Beatles records never received gold or platinum record awards. Or any sort of acknowledgment? Primarily it was because at that time they only gave them to the artists. Nowadays everyone from the studio receptionist to the video stylist gets one.
