This Week on Musicians Radio
We're back.

www.musiciansradio.com is back.
Perhaps you don't even know that you missed us but you did.

Go to the new site. We have all the shows archived there. You can subscribe to the podcast and catch up on the shows you've missed if you haven't heard us on XM.

Right now, at www.musiciansradio.com you can hear the latest broadcast featuring our new contributor Jeff May.

Jeff is a bass player living in Austin, TX,  and for his first interview he talked with Texas bass legend Tommy Shannon.  Most of us know that Tommy played bass in Stevie Ray Vaughan's Double Trouble, but did you know that he  played with Johnny Winter for his first three albums and tours as well as his legendary performance at Woodstock?!

Also, on this weeks show...

I talk with Ori Kaplan from Balkan Beat Box.  This is truly "music without borders". Their new record is titled "New Med" which refers to the "New Meditteraneo" style. Flamenco, Israeli, Gypsy, Latin, Dance... it's all in there and it all works.

Recorded all over the globe, Ori Kaplan and Balkan Beat Box are becoming the new musical ambassadors.

Coming up next week, Sunday on XMPR channel 133 at 5 pm pacific / 8 pm eastern, our guests for the whole hour will be the singing-song writing duo Lowen and Navarro. I recently paid them a visit at Jim Scott's private recording studio as they were putting the finishing touches on their next record. For those who know Eric Lowen you realize how much strength and courage that requires - something he has no shortage of. And, of course the interview will be available at our website as well.

Speaking of which...  please go visit the new site. Drop us a line, sign up for this newsletter, catch up on any shows you might have missed, and give us any feedback you might have.

Thanks and have a great week.

Peace,

Kevin McCormick
